How can you find a greater victory than Christ rising from the dead?

How can you find a greater victory than Christ rising from the dead?

Do you ever feel like your life has been a series of defeats? That you cannot seem to get a “win?”

We see others declaring victory after a war, after a national championship, after an Olympic gold medal.

The problem with those victories is that they are temporary.

They have to be re-fought, replayed, re-won.

He won a permanent victory when Christ rose triumphantly and walked out of the grave. Death has been defeated forever.

Satan has been defeated forever. Sin has been defeated forever.

It’s done, finished. The battle for humanity is over.

We need to celebrate our victory.

Here are some ways you can come out of your defeat and walk in Christ’s eternal victory:

  1.  You can DECLARE victory.

If Christ “won the victory,” we share in that victory. We are His body, and He is the head of the body, and you can’t separate your head from your body.

Have you ever seen someone whose head was victorious but whose arm was not?

YOU are victorious in Christ. Declare it:  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4: 13)

2. You can ACT victorious.

There is boldness, confidence, and fearlessness about those who are victorious. It is not cockiness but a sense of the victory being already won.

In Christ, you are victorious.

Act like it. Stand up firm and act like you are “more than a conqueror” in Christ.

3. You can LIVE in freedom

Those who are victorious have thrown off the yoke of bondage and defeated their oppressors.

In Christ, YOU have defeated all of Satan’s bondage.

Satan wants you to feel defeated by fears, substance abuse, sickness, and bondage. Determine to live in freedom every day of your life!

For freedom, Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

4. You can SHOUT the victory.

When a team or a nation wins a battle, there is always a victory “shout.”  Teams swarm the field, and citizens wave flags and rejoice.

We need to be people of praise. Praise tells my enemy that he is defeated. It is a victory song, like when Moses and his people danced on the Red Sea shore.

Every day, give God praise for victory. Don’t let Satan shut off your glory. In Christ, we won the victory, and we will not stop shouting and praising the Lord for it!

Victory is sweet.

Never doubt for a moment that you are on the winning side.

Christ died, and for three days, He lay in the grave. His spirit, however, had descended into the lower parts of the earth. There, He defeated Satan and all his principalities.

When He rose from the dead, He stripped the darkness of its power and disarmed them. He could then say, “All authority is given unto Me in heaven and on earth.”

Stand fast in the victory this Easter. The Greater One has defeated death, hell, and the GRAVE!
