This Is How Angels Can Bring You An Emotional Breakthrough

This Is How Angels Can Bring You An Emotional Breakthrough

I am Gabriel.  I stand in the presence of God.  I was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news.”

An angel said that.  To a man. A supernatural being from another world said that.  Just thinking about it should radically change our lives.

We know that angels are not to be worshipped, overly studied, or fixated upon.  They do, however, bring us a glimpse from the realm of eternal light. You may be in a dark, difficult time right now.

Think with me a moment about the ministry of angels:

  1. They have a name.

Angels are not fat babies.  They are not nameless robots.  They are a personality, they have a name.  They work in the spiritual dimension under the command of the Almighty God.

  2. They stand in the presence of God.

Gabriel told Zechariah that he “stood in the presence of God” (Luke 1: 19).  These mighty creatures stand waiting to obey God’s every command.

I should “stand in His presence” every day also.  I should listen for His command to me and obey His every desire.

  3. They are the messengers of God.

They often appeared in the Bible with a direct message from God Himself. They often started their message with, “I bring you good news!”

Jacob was sleeping on a hard rock when he dreamed of a stairway from earth to heaven.  Angels were ascending and descending continually on it from another world.

They are still continually bringing miraculous answers to prayer to this world from the throne of God.  They work better than any human delivery system!

  4. They powerfully intervene in dangerous situations.

Israel was surrounded by 185,000 enemy troops.  In one night, ONE SINGLE ANGEL passed through the camp of the enemy and they all died instantly (2 Kings 19:35).  No wonder the Bible says, “He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways…” (Ps. 91: 11).

Elisha awakened one morning to a host of enemy soldiers surrounding his city.  Behind all of those troops, he saw a greater army of angels on horses and chariots of fire. He cried out, “Those who are with US are more than those who are with them!” (2 Kings 6:16).

  5. They endlessly worship God day and night.

Angels humbly bow by the hundreds of millions around God the Father and Jesus Christ (Rev. 5: 11).  They sing, they worship, and continually praise and rejoice in His awesome glory.

That is exactly what I should do.  I should “offer the sacrifice of praise CONTINUALLY.”  When this natural world looks dark, I should lift my head and join in their continual worship of the Almighty God!

Never feel alone again.  Never feel overpowered again.  Never feel things are impossible again.

Remember that God’s forces are guarding you, fighting for you, bringing good news to you, and worshipping right alongside you.

When you feel overwhelmed, remind yourself of the heavenly visitor who appeared to John’s father and said these words:

I am Gabriel.”
